Crown Lengthening

A technique that increases the length of the tooth crown (the part of the tooth which appears on the gums) in order to maintain the tooth and its prosthetic restoration.

It is applied in the case we got fractures or loss of dental substance due to tooth decay and in which the dentist assesses that after treatment there will be sufficient support of the tooth from the periodontal tissues.
